    The application deadline for scholarships and admission to the program is April 15, 2024.
    Please choose from the list below on which date you would like to schedule your audition. Included will be interviews with faculty, music theory and piano placement, and a Q&A for parents.

    Music Talent Scholarship Application
    To be considered for a music talent scholarship at Meredith College, you must be accepted for admission to Meredith College. The deadline for scholarship application is April 15, 2024.

    If you are also applying for other financial assistance, you must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. The FAFSA form is available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
    Resume
    Please upload a resume of your school and community activities.
    • Please indicate your background in musical study, including pertinent information about length of study, area(s) studied, representative compositions learned, and instructor(s). 
    • Also indicate any awards or recognitions you have received in music (if any). Include information about significant recitals and/or other musical activities.

    Essay
    Please upload a brief essay describing your involvement with music. Your essay should be one-to-two typed pages and uploaded as a PDF or Word document. Please include the following points:
    • What initially interested you in music?
    • How did you continue your musical study and activities since your first contact with music?
    • What part does music presently play in your life?
    • What are your hopes and dreams for your future?
    • What do you think you will be doing ten years from now, and what part do you think music will play in your life at that time?

    Recommendation Form
    In addition to submitting the application, please provide the Music Scholarship Recommendation Form to a music professional familiar with your work and request that the recommender submit the form directly to the Office of Admissions. The form may be returned via fax to (919) 760-2348, emailed to admissions@meredith.edu, or sent by postal mail to:
